About Amy Shine

"Through my lived experience as the mother of a young adult with autism and my professional work as a teacher and coach, I have discovered the joy of helping others set and reach their goals."
Amy Shine is a skilled, dynamic educator and life coach who has over two decades of lived experience as the parent of two young adults with neurodevelopmental challenges. Amy has a deep understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), executive functioning weaknesses, sensory processing issues, learning disabilities, and mental health challenges, such as social anxiety and depression.
Amy graduated from Yale University with magna cum laude honors and a BA in American Studies. She also holds an MEd in Educational Administration from Boston University. She is a nationally-recognized teacher who currently serves as an Instructional Coach and Advanced Educator in the Lawrence Public School System in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
When her daughter turned 18, Amy saw weaknesses and gaps in support services for adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This led Amy to complete a life coach training program through AANE, the Association for Autism and Neurodiversity.

Amy founded Shine Bright Pathways to offer private life coaching services to neurodivergent young adults and their families. She has a special interest in strengths-based and goal-focused coaching practices.
